Halloween 2015

Halloween costumes! It's like, the one creative thing that I do with the family every year and put some real effort into and take pride in. We do family themed costumes. In 2015 our theme was Peter Pan. I do lots of thrift store shopping and happened to find just about everything I needed.

Lydia was princess Tiger Lily. Cute, right?
Have you seen a more adorable Tinkerbell? She'd been crying, but still SO CUTE.
Doesn't Morgan make a great John Darling?
I had to make shoes and a hat for Owen's peter pan. Flip flips, felt, and a glue gun is all I needed for the slippers.
Felt, glue gun, and a feather for the hat.
And here he is!
 William was a lost boy!
David was Captain Hook! I used more hot glue for his costume.
And he wore tights! And he briefly wore a black wig!
 But mostly didn't.
I was Mr. Smee. My pregnant belly added to the costume.
 Just a couple of pirates.
 A cute crew of kids.

While at a Trunk-or-Treat we were awarded "best costume" by a family who have a tradition of presenting a prize to their favorite costume wearer. They gave us a all the prize. :) And they took our picture so we got the whole family in one. :)

Painting Pumpkins 2015

We usually paint our Halloween pumpkins, as it's easier for kids to do than carving. And they turn out so great!
Here's Lydia and hers. Two pictures for two sides.

Morgan did two sides as well. Here's his abominable snowman.
 And Frankenstein. I think.
 Here's Owen's.
I wanted to do the red bird from Angry Birds, but David simultaneously decided to carve the red bird from Angry Birds! We didn't coordinate or anything. So THEN we did coordinate and I painted the green pig guy from Angry Birds. Then David messed his carving up and never finished it, so my green pig was all alone without a red bird to be angry at it.
We'd put Alli in bed, I think, before getting a picture with her pumpkin. But here it is!
William also painted a pumpkin but got offended at something right before picture time and refused to have his picture taken. Ah well.

2015 Pumpkin Palooza

Here are pictures from the 2015 Pumpkin Palooza.

Alli was insanely in love with the balloon.
This wasn't the best photo I have of this traditional shot, unfortunately.
And that's all.

2015 Homeschool Fieldtrip to Linder Farms

The fieldtrip to Linder Farms is always an anticipated one. In 2015 it was much warmer than the year before! We were HOT, in fact. But that's much better than the bitter cold of the previous year.

Here are some of the pictures of the day.
