Ninety-Sixth Passage

Here is a real quick Halloween post.
The kiddos chose costumes from home, so that made everything easy.
The Human Torch

A Soldier

Superman

A Princess

We first went to a Trunk-or-treat, then we went home and did trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. You would think our neighborhood would have decent trick or treating, but it was kinda lame. There were probably people handing out candy at 1 in 6-7 houses. Losta walking for little pay off. But the kids had fun. After a little while the youngest two got tired, so David took them home and I took the older two boys a little bit longer. I was hoping to kick myself into labor. When we got home I was all sorts of sore and uncomfortable, but I had zero contractions. Oh well.

Post-it #141

A week or so ago David came home and mentioned that his company holds an annual pumpkin carving contest. Last year, he said, the winner got a 3 day vacation. He announced he was going to enter the contest.
He picked out a pumpkin, found a design idea online, and set to work.
 All drawn out.
Carved out. He used the wood carving chisels he purchased when carving the cradle.
And the result was super awesome.
And guess who won? David did, of course. This time the prize was a gift card to a restaurant. Not quite as fancy as last year, but it was nice to have a date with my super talented husband.

Post-it #140

We hung the growth charts for the three boys next to each other, then we measured them all.

It was fun to note that when Morgan was just five years old, he was the exact same height as Owen and a couple weeks away from five years old.
