Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving!

Getting a good photo of all the grandkids proved to be impossible. Oh, and Morgan and Lydia were with their dad, so we're missing them.

Alli met her brand new cousin, Asher. She loved him.

Silly Selfies

Here are just some silly photos of us girls.

Owen's 7th Birthday

Owen turned 7! We celebrated at Nana's and Papa's house.

I can't see clearly what this is and don't remember, but he seems pretty happy about it!
We got Owen these alligator slippers which he LOVED. He still does, in fact!

And the cake!

One hair cut, not two

Lydia got the itch to have a major hair cut and I decided to save money by doing it myself.
Here are the before's.

And after! So short! I didn't do awesome. But she's cute.

I'm not, but I was pregnant and face swollen and clearly had yesterday's makeup on...but anyway, I took this photo with Lydia's ponytail and sent it to David via text and told him I'd chopped my hair! He has a phobia of having a wife with short hair, so this was fun.

Look how convincing I made it.

David was convinced that I'd done it. It was funny to see his responses that were clearly disappointed but trying to hide how deep the disappointment went. Of course I couldn't keep up the charade long after he got home, and needless to say, he was pretty relieved. Lol. One day I actually will chop my hair and he'll just have to deal with it. :)

Nativity

In 2015 our ward made a really neat Nativity video to show at our Christmas party. The kids all dressed up and got individual pictures on site and played big parts in the nativity, but I can't find the video or pictures anywhere! And that makes me really sad. I have a few pictures though.

Lydia was one of the townsfolk. Looking so cute.

Alli wasn't in it, but she wanted to dress up like everyone else.
Morgan was Joseph!

Alli got to ride the "donkey" which was clearly a Shetland pony.

Here are a couple shots of the manger scene.
William was a wiseman, he's there in the red robe and turban. Owen was also a townsfolk. William got to walk a camel in a different scene but I wasn't on site for that and since I can't find the other pictures and video I don't have anything for that. :(
The boys also did some singing and speaking parts. It was fun to be involved and to see our children involved.

Rose Smoces Proes Foes

Sometimes homeschooling can be frustrating. Like when Owen was supposed to write a poem. I explained how to do it in great detail, read him some poems, wrote a poem to show him, and let him work. A very long time later he had finished. And this was the product. Actually, this was the second time. The first poem, which was very similar to this one, is still visible due to the amateur erasing.

Allison turns 2!

This was Alli's 2nd birthday. What a cutie! She got some things she really loved this birthday. The puppy that talked was one of them.

She also loved the fishing game. The big doll wasn't a hit.
She unwrapped a ride-on toy that she calls a "train". It's almost been two years already and she still gets loads of joy from it. She loves her train.
Not a great photo but it shows her happiness with two of her favorite gifts.

Here's the birthday cake video. Love that little princess.
