139th Passage

Oh, hi blog. Remember me? I'm the one who's supposed to update you with the goings on of our family, but I'm almost a year behind, and it's overwhelming!

Alright, still back in last December. We have the awesome tradition of cutting down our own Christmas tree. This year we went up past Idaho City and found some better options than ever before. It was a fun time and we found a nice tree. We also got to hike through snowy forests with gigantic k-nine footprints.

This is the bottom of the tree that we chopped off. We only needed the top half.
 And here's our tree.
We parked near a giant boulder on the hill so the kids hiked up and down the hill while we dealt with the tree.
All tied down and ready for transport.
We stopped for lunch in Idaho City.

The tree is in place in the living room.
 All decorated!
