We also read The Tale of Despereaux, by Kate DiCamillo for school. It was William's choice. It was a cute story, and pretty fun to read out loud. I don't think anyone really loved it though. The movie and the book are pretty different, but I didn't find either of them especially noteworthy. I was surprised that this book got a Newbery award. Either way, not a waste of time.
