142nd Passage

We took the kids to the park in January, which was freezing, but they had fun. Alli LOVED the swing. It was very cute to see, until it was time to leave. Then she wasn't at her cutest.

Also in January, Alli had her first pigtails!
We went to Walmart that day and Alli got a sample cookie and made a mess and looked adorable.

Post-it #156

Here are just some random cute pictures.

Post-it #155

Morgan and William started cubscouts after turning 8 and they earned their bobcat award in January. Despite their underwhelming smiles, they actually both really like scouts.

David (and I) made a growth chart for Alli. We gave it to her on Christmas, even though it wasn't quite done yet. She didn't notice. :)
Since she's our owl baby we made the growth chart owl themed. David cut out the wood and designed the look.

Then he did a base paint of white.
After that we painted the rest of it. Colors changed a few times. David's being a goob for the picture.

And here's the finished product.

Now on to January.
Lydia received a stuffed cat for Christmas. She likes it, but Allison has pretty much taken it over. It started in January.

But Alli doesn't only like the kitty, she likes most stuffed animals, the fuzzier the better. She carries them around, or dolls, and sleeps with them, and generally is more happy if she has a stuffed animal.

Here are some pictures of Christmas with the extended families.

141st Passage

Christmas happened! Since we wouldn't be having all the kids on Christmas day we celebrated it on Christmas Eve.
On the 23rd, which was our Christmas Eve, we let the kids open a present before going to bed.

The next morning David and I woke up naturally before any of the kids. Strangely, they actually slept in longer than usual! What weirdo kids!
This is what awaited our children Christmas morning.

David wrapped all my presents and put them in a giant box of crumbled paper and packing peanuts. It ended up being great entertainment for Allison.
The boys all got kits where the excavate something. They had fun with them that morning.

We also went outside, which was surprisingly warm, to play with new scooters and pogo sticks.
